I was watching CNN and it is amazing….
Had to put up a quick post and talk about Twitter for a minute.
What happened?
I am on Twitter and I think it is great. I keep in touch with friends, meet new people, make new contacts, follow people I am interesed in, and work to give a reason for people to follow me.
All of a sudden everytime I turn around I am hearing about Twitter. On my way home from work today I was listening to public radio and what are they talking about… The explosion of Twitter.
Up until a couple of months ago I must admit I had never heard of Twitter. We all know about MySpace and Facebook and Xanga and others but I had never heard about Twitter until Alex Jeffreys talked about it as part of his coaching program. Of Course I immediately went out to check it out. I signed up and have never regretted it. I started out by talking to other Alex Jeffreys students and started a following from there. I have continued to build my following on Twitter of like minded individuals that are helping others to succeed in Marketing on the Internet.
Twitter a Micro Blog Site. On twitter the message you send can only be 140 characters in length. That message can be sent to all of your followers, to a specific person where all of their followers can see it or to a single person using the direct message function. It is a great way to keep in touch without getting wordy. It is also great for seeing what a lot of people are up to or thinking.
I use Twitter for business purposes mostly, although most of the people I Tweet to (Yes when you send a Twitter Message it is called a “TWEET”) I have become good friends with. My purpose for using Twitter is to keep in touch with my followers and show value to them each time we Tweet. I have met so many different kinds of people on Twitter, I have met people who I would like to JV (Joint Venture) with and have stratigized with others one how we can give better value and service to our customers.
If you haven not been to Twitter, check it out at www.twitter.com. If you are on Twitter Please Click the little Bird Character on the left side of this blog post and give me a follow.
If you would like more information on how twitter works and/or how you can get the most out of your Twitter experience I am including a video that was put together by a friend of mine, Garry Parkes of www.garryparkes.com.
Take a look…
Thank you
Hope to see you on Twitter soon

Hi Thom,
Nice post on Twitter, tweets and the twits that form the twitterati.
Hope everything is OK. You might like to see what I have up and running at the moment over at the TEMPLE (LOL). I crack up every time I use that name BTW.

Hi Thom,
Bl**dy great video – best tutorial video I’ve ever seen on Twitter, LOL.
Seriously though glad you found it useful.
Over the past month or so in the UK too there has been a steady stream of publicity in the mainstream media about Twitter. I think it is set to grow even more and more this year.
Garry
Hey Thom, nice post. Yeah Twitter has become quite the stir and the proof is in the pudding. Even though we have been students, I really did not find many of them until using Twitter.
I had no idea you were writng a book and because of Twitter, I found out instantly. The cool part was that you were not even speaking directly to me about it. I just saw that you had asked Gary to look over it for you and I thought, “Hey, I’ll do an ecover for this guy. He’s actually taking action.”
I got a zip file for you my friend with a pretty cool cover if I do say so myself but it has to be you that likes it. Email me and I’ll send it to you right away. I look forward to your response.

@Gary,
Thanks again for stopping over and letting me know what you think. I absolutely found it amazing when I was watching CNN. Now it seems you can not go anywhere without seeing something on Twitter.
Thanks again
@Garry,
.
I agree it is an incredible video, a good friend of my made it. You should check out his site. It is http://www.garryparkes.com
Thanks for stopping.
@Michael,
Thank you for stopping over and for the offer. I look forward to seeing what you have put together. It just floors me how the people in our group are out to help one another
Thanks again.
Thom
Hi Thom,
“It just floors me how the people in our group are out to help one another.”
Yep. Most unusual in this day and age. That’s for sure.

A great post and a great video on Twitter.
Thank you.
Today I find I spend less time on Twitter. This is through choice. Frankly although Twitter is a great tool to make contacts and organise some JVs it also is really addictive. Time just passes in Twitter ecstasy and suddenly a day is gone and no work is done.
So out of choice I’m limiting my Twitter time and concentrating on building websites using the skills taught in the Affiliate Funnel System.
These have profitted me far more than Tweeting.

Just going back to Alex’s students to find out what everyone is up to and who may be going to Las Vegas. Not sure I am able to attend as of yet. Leave me a message on my blog.
